Another garbage photo, but you can see just how extensive the red currant and raspberry patch is. Even without pampering, these plants produce prodigious amounts of fruit each year. Currants are well known for their resliency and the aggresive nature of raspberries makes them another good choice for leaving along.
There hasn’t been too much in the way of management- and almost no fertilizer use from what I’m told- so things will have to start on square one here. Improving the polyculture’s accessibility is high on my list.
A young apple tree has also been planted very close to the sauna by the family. I will probably want to relocate it, but will wait until I’ve established more validity to these techniques in the eyes of the family.
